Hagan, Torrence, Anderson & Herrera Get Provisional No. 1 Positions

POMONA, Calif. - Funny Car points leader Matt Hagan made a pair of strong qualifying runs to open the final race weekend of the 2023 NHRA season, powering to the provisional No. 1 position for Tony Stewart Racing on Friday at the 58th annual In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals at In-N-Out Pomona Dragstrip.

Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also the provisional No. 1 qualifiers at the 21st race of the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season, and the sixth of six races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Funny Car provisional No. 1 qualifier Matt Hagan drove his Dodge Direct Connection Charger SRT Hellcat Funny Car to a 3.869 second pass at 328.46 mph.

Top Fuel provisional No. 1 qualifier Steve Torrence drove his Capco Contractors Top Fuel dragster to a 3.641 second pass at 335.65 mph.

Pro Stock provisional No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson drove his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.495 second pass at 211.69 mph.

Reigning In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals winner Greg Anderson took his hot rod for a 6.495-second pass at 211.69 mph to land in the provisional No. 1 qualifier spot on Friday at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.

Pro Stock Motorcycle provisional No. 1 qualifier Gaige Herrera rode his Vance & Hines Mission Foods Suzuki to a 6.721 second pass at 200.59 mph.
