POMONA, Calif. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 58th annual In-N-Out NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jim Whiteley Runs 5.447/264.18, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.485/265.22, Was #7
Right Lane: Ulf Leanders Runs 5.855/193.54, Now #12; Best prior run: 10.152/99.21, Was #12

Weather conditions: air temperature 70 degrees, relative humidity 25 percent, barometer 29.99 inches, adjusted altitude 1,668 feet.

Whiteley was straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number three spot. Jim Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.928 sec., 330ft-2.418, 660ft-3.592/211.10 mph, 1,000ft-4.596.

Leanders with a pop on the top end, but still makes his quickest pass of the weekend.

Westerfield launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest pass of the season to go to the number two spot. Shane Westerfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.935 sec., 330ft-2.426, 660ft-3.590/213.64 mph, 1,000ft-4.585.

Jones with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

Whiteley with a big pop and comes to a stop on the track.

Martin is straight down the groove with his quickest pass this weekend to move up the ladder a couple spots.

Right Lane: Mike Doushgounian Runs 5.594/264.60, Now #10; Best prior run: 5.570/264.39, Was #10

Gordon with a good clean pass, his quickest of the weekend. He moves up the ladder one spot. Doug Gordon's incremental times: 60ft-0.941 sec., 330ft-2.451, 660ft-3.617/212.69 mph, 1,000ft-4.608.

Doushgounian with a clean pass, but he will not improve.

Hough launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest pass of the season to go to the number one spot. Brian Hough's incremental times: 60ft-0.928 sec., 330ft-2.427, 660ft-3.588/213.54 mph, 1,000ft-4.578.

Martin his career quickest and fastest pass in his second National event.

Marshall started to lose traction on the top end and he clicked it early.

Bellemeur kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Sean Bellemeur's incremental times: 60ft-0.921 sec., 330ft-2.407, 660ft-3.569/213.27 mph, 1,000ft-4.560. He qualifies number one for the 31st time in his career and the seventh time this season.
