Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #2
By Dave Gerard

POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 58th annual In-N-Out NHRA Finals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Katie Justice Runs 6.972/189.90, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.072/188.94, Was #13

3:34 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 14 percent, barometer 29.98 inches, adjusted altitude 2,205 feet.

Arana is number one 6.729 and Ryan Oehler is on the bump spot at 7.857.

A strong pass for Justice to move her up the ladder by one poasition. It's costly though, as there is a huge plume of smoke from the Suzuki right after the lights.

Lots of action on the top end doing cleanup.

Right Lane: Blaine Hale No Time, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.007/191.40, Was #13

3:40 p.m. Back to qualifying.

She's back! Smith makes a strong leave and she runs straight and hard to about the 100 foot lights and clicks it off early.

Hale launches with an eighteen light and then suddenly slows. He coasts for a while and stops on the track before the finish line.

Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.094 sec., 330ft-2.875, 660ft-4.367/164.65 mph, 1,000ft-5.691.

Right Lane: Chris Bostick Runs 7.006/194.72, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.952/193.96, Was #11

Oehler gets a full pull this time and it's good enough to move him up into the #11 position for now.

Bostick slows right before the light for no apparent reason.

Ryan Oehler's incremental times: 60ft-1.078 sec., 330ft-2.898, 660ft-4.438/158.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.787.
