Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #2

LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual NHRA Nevada Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 9.194/95.28, Now #13; Best prior run: 9.110/96.05, Was #13
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer No Time, Now #14; Best prior run: 9.995/73.40, Was #14

3:47 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 29.83 inches, adjusted altitude 3,704 feet.

Stoffer had problems and did not make a pass. Ingwersen had problems before half track and was out of power.

Left Lane: Joey Gladstone Runs 7.184/151.82, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.196/152.64, Was #12
Right Lane: Blaine Hale Runs 7.165/188.81, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.184/186.98, Was #11

Gladstone was on a decent pass but the bike fell silent about 700 feet out. Hale made a little further and he clicked it off, not sure why.

Left Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.938/195.11, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.019/190.92, Was #7
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.982/189.79, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.030/189.82, Was #8

A good side-by-side, both down the groove with good runs. Oehler improves and moves up to the third spot for now. Johnson improves but stays in the eighth spot for now.

Ryan Oehler's incremental times: 60ft-1.075 sec., 330ft-2.892, 660ft-4.437/158.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.786.
Steve Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.086 sec., 330ft-2.897, 660ft-4.446/157.50 mph, 1,000ft-5.807.

Left Lane: Jerry Savoie Runs 6.888/194.69, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.950/192.17, Was #6
Right Lane: Jianna Evaristo Runs 6.923/195.39, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.956/187.96, Was #7

Savoie goes down the groove with a good pass and he moves up to the third spot. Evaristo improves and moves up to the fourth spot.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.895/196.73, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.940/196.04, Was #6
Right Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.842/196.53, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.942/195.11, Was #7

Smith makes a good pass and moves up a spot in the order. Arana makes a solid run and moves up to the third spot.

Left Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.760/199.82, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.806/198.41, Was #1
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.830/198.85, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.837/198.29, Was #2

Herrera goes down the groove with an impressive run and sets the track record. Krawiec makes another good run and improves.

Gaige Herrera's incremental times: 60ft-1.030 sec., 330ft-2.809, 660ft-4.321/161.96 mph, 1,000ft-5.636.
Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.075 sec., 330ft-2.867, 660ft-4.383/161.54 mph, 1,000ft-5.703.
