ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 38th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals:

Foster was on a decent pass but the car nosed over about 1000 feet out, not sure why.

McCosh is 2 - 0 against Whiteley in prior events.

A coin flip off of the line, Whiteley gets out in front early, extends his lead to half track, then McCosh is able to make up a little ground. McCosh continues to gain ground but runs out of room.

Bellemeur is 2 - 0 against Smith in prior events.

Smith gets out of the gate first and starts pulling away. Bellemeur is able to start making up ground at half track but Smith holds on and takes the holeshot win.

Kyle Smith's incremental margins: 60ft(0.042), 330 ft(0.058), 660ft(0.050), 1,000ft(0.031).

Gordon is 3 - 1 against Gill in prior events.

Gill is a little too quick off of the line and goes red giving the win to Gordon. Gordon goes down the groove with the quickest pass of the round to take the win.

Doug Gordon's incremental times: 60ft-0.934 sec., 330ft-2.435, 660ft-3.589/215.17 mph, 1,000ft-4.576.

With Gordon's win combined with Bellemeur's loss, Gordon wins the TAFC championship, the third of his career.

In the next round it will be Gordon with lane choice over Foster and Smith with lane choice over Jim Whiteley.
