Top Fuel Qualifying Notes, Final Session

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 38th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jacob McNeal Runs 3.871/304.01, Now #17; Best prior run: 3.848/273.16, Was #17
Right Lane: Krista Baldwin Runs 7.641/81.64, Now #18; Best prior run: 3.888/308.56, Was #18

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 38 percent, barometer 30.09 inches, adjusted altitude 1,505 feet, track temperature 88 degrees.

McNeal with another good pass, but will not get in the show.

Baldwin is loose right at the hit and clicks it off.

Hart started to haze the tires around half track and clicked it off.

Hull is up in smoke right at the hit and clicks it off.

Right Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 3.743/325.03, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.723/327.49, Was #13

Foley starts to lose traction around half track and clicks it off.

Massey kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight for another good looking pass. Spencer Massey's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.120, 660ft-2.999/287.04 mph.

Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.665/333.63, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.694/331.66, Was #12
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.711/331.64, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.690/333.46, Was #11

Pruett launched hard and kept it hitting on all eight to make her quickest pass of the season to go to the number four spot. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.830 sec., 330ft-2.087, 660ft-2.942/296.42 mph.

Schumacher with another good pass, but will not improve. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.839 sec., 330ft-2.118, 660ft-2.980/292.42 mph.

Left Lane: Austin Prock Runs 3.669/327.89, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.689/333.23, Was #11
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.686/334.30, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.683/335.87, Was #9

Prock with his season quickest pass to go to the number six spot. Austin Prock's incremental times: 60ft-0.826 sec., 330ft-2.084, 660ft-2.937/295.33 mph.

Langdon with another great pass, but will not improve. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.828 sec., 330ft-2.103, 660ft-2.961/294.73 mph.

Millican started to haze the tires on the top end and clicks it off.

Brown is straight down the groove with another good pass, but he will not improve.

This is a geat side-by-side drag race.

Salinas launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number three spot. Mike Salinas' incremental times: 60ft-0.822 sec., 330ft-2.075, 660ft-2.932/295.12 mph.

Force is right there with Salinas with her quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder a spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.831 sec., 330ft-2.091, 660ft-2.938/297.32 mph.

Left Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 3.661/336.20, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.670/338.40, Was #8
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.698/332.99, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.642/334.70, Was #2

Ashley kept it hitting on all eight all the way down the track to make his quickest pass of the weekend. He moves up the ladder a couple spots. Justin Ashley's incremental times: 60ft-0.826 sec., 330ft-2.098, 660ft-2.943/298.90 mph.

Kalitta with another great pass, but will not improve. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.837 sec., 330ft-2.114, 660ft-2.975/294.81 mph.

Left Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 3.666/327.92, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.660/334.57, Was #5
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 3.677/333.01, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.636/336.62, Was #1

Billy with another great pass, straight down the groove. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.815 sec., 330ft-2.091, 660ft-2.943/298.05 mph.

Steve is kept it hitting on eight and hooked up to make another great pass. He holds on to the number one spot for the third time this season and the 37th time in his career. Steve Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.824 sec., 330ft-2.093, 660ft-2.949/294.21 mph.
