B. Force, Pedregon, Anderson and Sampey Pick Up Provisional No. 1 Positions

POMONA, Calif. - Points leader Brittany Force made the fastest run in Top Fuel history on Friday, powering to the provisional No. 1 qualifier in record-breaking fashion at the final race of the season, the 57th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

Cruz Pedregon (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Angelle Sampey (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also provisional No. 1 qualifiers at the 22nd and final event in the 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season and the sixth race in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Top Fuel provisional No. 1 qualifier Brittany Force drove her Flav-R-Pac / Monster Energy Chevrolet Top Fuel dragster to a 3.641 second pass at 338.94 mph.

Top Fuel points leader Brittany Force added four points to her lead on Friday when she powered to a stellar 3.641-second lap at 338.94 mph for a new national NHRA speed record. If the provisional No. 1 qualifier position holds for best of the category, it will give Force her 10th No. 1 spot this season and 42nd in her career.

Funny Car provisional No. 1 qualifier Cruz Pedregon drove his Snap-on Dodge SRT Hellcat Funny Car to a 3.840 second pass at 322.58 mph.

Former NHRA Funny Car champ Cruz Pedregon powered to a 3.840-second 322.58 mph on Friday at the historic Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. If his pass holds, it will mark Pedregon's first No. 1 qualifier of 2022 and 63rd of his career.

Pro Stock provisional No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson drove his HendrickCars.com Camaro to a 6.509 second pass at 211.00 mph.

Pro Stock's Greg Anderson took his hot rod on a 6.509-second pass at 211.00 mph at the NHRA season closer, Auto Club NHRA Finals. If it holds, it will be Anderson's fourth No. 1 of the year and 122nd of his lengthy career.

Pro Stock Motorcycle provisional No. 1 qualifier Angelle Sampey rode her Mission Foods Vance & Hines Suzuki to a 6.703 second pass at 201.61 mph.
