Top Fuel Qualifying Notes, Session #1

POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 57th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Maurice Dupont Runs 4.422/191.65, Now #2
Right Lane: Krista Baldwin Runs 3.908/294.95, Now #1

Maurice Dupont is making his first pass in competition in 30 years. He makes a clean pass, but clicks it off early.

Baldwin makes a good clean pass.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 3.797/324.20, Now #1
Right Lane: Cameron Ferre Runs 5.112/146.46, Now #4

Laughlin kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.848 sec., 330ft-2.163, 660ft-3.051/285.11 mph.

Ferre started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 9.948/69.35, Now #6
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.759/325.61, Now #1

Pruett lost traction early and clicked it off.

Schumacher was straight down the groove with a good clean pass to go to the top of the list. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.844 sec., 330ft-2.141, 660ft-3.022/289.88 mph.

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 6.369/94.55, Now #7
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 4.664/162.02, Now #5

Millican lost traction early and clicked it off.

Kalitta drove into tire smoke and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 4.281/188.36, Now #5
Right Lane: Josh Hart Runs 3.718/335.07, Now #1

Langdon started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Hart launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Josh Hart's incremental times: 60ft-0.826 sec., 330ft-2.122, 660ft-2.993/292.14 mph.

Left Lane: Austin Prock Runs 4.498/168.35, Now #8
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 4.485/165.99, Now #7

They both start to lose traction about the same time and they both clicked it off.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.715/332.10, Now #1
Right Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 4.707/153.39, Now #11

Brown launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.836 sec., 330ft-2.118, 660ft-2.986/291.32 mph.

Salinas started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 3.765/315.19, Now #5
Right Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.742/328.46, Now #3

Ashley is straight down the groove to get into the top half of the show. Justin Ashley's incremental times: 60ft-0.833 sec., 330ft-2.127, 660ft-3.006/285.65 mph.

Force with a good looking pass to go to the number three spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.844 sec., 330ft-2.133, 660ft-3.011/291.63 mph. She picked up one point on Ashley.
