Top Fuel Qualifying Notes, Session #1

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 37th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Kebin Kinsley No Time, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 11 percent, barometer 29.92 inches, adjusted altitude 2,517 feet, track temperature 123 degrees.

Kinsley with problems.

Left Lane: Keith Murt Runs 10.930/78.60, Now #1
Right Lane: Mitch King Runs 22.958/15.16, Now #2

Murt lost traction early and clicked it off.

King is up in smoke right at the hit and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Joe Morrison Runs 5.802/113.09, Now #1
Right Lane: Krista Baldwin Runs 6.179/102.78, Now #2

Morrison clicked it off early.

Baldwin started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Spencer Massey No Time, Now #1
Right Lane: Buddy Hull No Time, Now #2

Right Lane: Buddy Hull Runs 4.264/205.91, Now #1

Hull started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 4.500/176.67, Now #3
Right Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 4.074/258.19, Now #1

Massey started to haze the tires and clicked it off.

Laughlin started to lose traction on the top end, but still goes to the top .

Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 4.631/160.92, Now #5
Right Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.906/290.32, Now #1

Schumacher starts to lose traction and clicks it off.

Pruett started to lose traction on the top end, but she still goes to the number one spot. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-99.999 sec., 330ft-99.999, 660ft-99.999/000.00 mph.

Left Lane: Austin Prock Runs 3.804/324.61, Now #2
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.799/325.69, Now #1

This is a great side-by-side drag race.

Prock kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number two spot. Austin Prock's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.161, 660ft-3.059/287.14 mph.

Langdon with great pass, kept it hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.855 sec., 330ft-2.159, 660ft-3.056/284.76 mph.

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 7.860/56.02, Now #11
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.799/318.70, Now #2

Millican started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Kalitta launched hard and kept it hooked up, he ties Langdon's E.T., but will give up the position based on his slower speed.

Left Lane: Josh Hart Runs 4.048/224.27, Now #5
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 4.260/196.99, Now #7

Hart starts to drift out of the groove and over by the wall before he clicks it off.

Brown started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 5.164/133.76, Now #12
Right Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.777/332.50, Now #1

Salinas started lose trction and clicked it off.

Force launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.863 sec., 330ft-2.164, 660ft-3.047/287.47 mph.

Left Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 3.786/326.94, Now #3
Right Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 3.766/330.86, Now #1

This is a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up round one of Top Fuel qualifying.

Torrence is straight down the groove to go to the number three spot.

Asley launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot.
