The 2022 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series season begins Feb. 11-12 at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Ga., and finishes Nov. 4-6 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. During the 2022 campaign, the series will feature a number of thrilling doubleheader events, which have been a popular draw for drivers, including races at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka; Texas Motorplex in Dallas; World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis; Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix; and Yellowstone Dragstrip in Acton, Mont. The thrilling JEGS SPORTSnationals event, which has been an annual staple of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, will return to National Trail Raceway as part of an action-packed weekend on July 14-15. The SPORTSnationals features high-level racing in eight categories as drivers collect national-level points while competing for than $100,000 in prize money. It also leads right into a regional and divisional event that weekend at NTR on July 16-17 as part of a mega weekend at the Columbus, Ohio-area track. The competition in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is incredible and filled with outstanding drivers competing at top-notch race tracks across the country." The upcoming 2022 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series season includes 44 total events with at least six races in six of the seven divisions. Additionally, there will be 24 regional events featuring the exciting 260-mph Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car classes next season, including two highly anticipated stops at Atco Raceway in Atco, N.J.
