MADISON, Ill. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 10th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals:

1:16 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 42 percent, barometer 30.01 inches, adjusted altitude 2,042 feet, track temperature 109 degrees.

Pedregon and Alexander have only raced twice, once in 2013 & once in 2020. They are 1 - 1 against each other.

Alexander hits the throttle and goes up in smoke. he pedals a couple of times and then gives up on the run. Pedregon gets about 800 feet out, hazes the tires and backs off of the throttle.

This is the first time Bode and Tasca III have faced each other in eliminations.

Bode got his first career round win earlier today.

Tasca gets out of the gate first and goes down the groove with a clean straight pass. Bode hits the throttle, gets about 300 feet out, has problems and is off of the throttle early.

Tasca takes the win and moves into sixth place in the points chase.

Bob Tasca III's incremental margins: 60ft(0.020), 330 ft(0.013), 660ft(0.126). MOV: 0.5191 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Force gets out of the gate first and goes down the groove with a good pass. Capps makes up a little ground early in the run,but then Force is able to pull away and take the win.

John Force's incremental margins: 60ft(0.027), 330 ft(0.034), 660ft(0.036). MOV: 0.0412 seconds (approximately 20 feet).

Tasca will have lane choice over Force in the next round.

A coin flip off of the line, Hagan gets out in front early. Todd was staying with him for the first 400 feet or so, then he strikes the tires, the car makes a move to the left, then he backs off of the throttle. Hagan goes on through and takes the win.

With the win, Hagan goes into the points lead and with Todd's loss Pedregon goes ahead of Todd.

Matt Hagan's incremental margins: 60ft(0.020), 330 ft(0.022), 660ft(0.202). MOV: 0.6901 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Hagan will have lane choice over Pedregon in the next round.
