MADISON, Ill. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 10th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.780/319.52, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.747/92.81, Was #18

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 43 percent, barometer 30.11 inches, adjusted altitude 1,412 feet, track temperature 112 degrees.

Millican was stright down the groove to get in the show. That will bump out Force and put Hull on the bubble. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.832 sec., 330ft-2.121, 660ft-3.027/281.54 mph.

Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.839/320.89, Now #15; Best prior run: 11.560/73.67, Was #20
Right Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.768/319.90, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.680/104.23, Was #18

Langdon kept it hooked up to get in the show.

Pruett launched hard and was straight down the groove to get into the top half of the show. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.857 sec., 330ft-2.139, 660ft-3.022/287.47 mph.

Left Lane: Keith Murt Runs 3.921/320.51, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.857/139.75, Was #20
Right Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.700/331.53, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.620/116.81, Was #19

Murt was straight down the groove with his best pass.

Force launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number two spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.833 sec., 330ft-2.104, 660ft-2.974/292.96 mph.

Left Lane: Buddy Hull Runs 3.984/308.00, Now #20; Best prior run: 5.086/147.86, Was #20
Right Lane: Lex Joon Runs 29.001/20.92, Now #18; Best prior run: 3.953/240.12, Was #18

Hull was skating around all the way down the track, he stayed with it. Hull make his career quickest and fastest pass. His first three second pass, and 300-mph pass. Buddy Hull's incremental times: 60ft-0.899 sec., 330ft-2.265, 660ft-3.201/271.08 mph.

Joon with tire shake and banged the blower.

Left Lane: T.J. Zizzo Runs 9.593/83.96, Now #14; Best prior run: 3.798/325.53, Was #14
Right Lane: Kyle Wurtzel Runs 3.834/311.34, Now #15; Best prior run: 3.809/316.82, Was #15

Zizzo shook right at the hit and clicked it off.

Wurtzel is straight down the groove, but he will not improve.

Left Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 9.574/80.17, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.793/322.65, Was #13
Right Lane: Scott Palmer Runs 9.412/83.24, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.772/317.57, Was #11

Massey lost traction and clicked it off.

Palmer is up in smoke and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 8.615/88.24, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.747/325.14, Was #6
Right Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 3.740/327.11, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.770/327.03, Was #10

Kalitta is up in smoke right at the hit and clicks it off.

Ashley kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to move into the top half of show. Justin Ashley's incremental times: 60ft-0.843 sec., 330ft-2.135, 660ft-3.005/291.89 mph.

Left Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 8.444/109.42, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.717/330.96, Was #4
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.770/325.30, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.765/323.97, Was #9

Torrence is up in smoke and clicked it off.

Brown with a good looking pass, he won't improve. He makes the fourth quickest pass today. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.862 sec., 330ft-2.151, 660ft-3.030/288.83 mph.

Left Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 19.106/78.42, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.702/328.30, Was #3
Right Lane: Josh Hart Runs 3.768/327.90, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.761/323.19, Was #8

Torrence's car didn't move when the light turned green.

Hart was straight down the groove with the third quickest pass of the session. He is just off his E.T. from yesterday. Josh Hart's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.148, 660ft-3.030/287.90 mph.

Left Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 5.228/127.04, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.652/327.74, Was #1
Right Lane: Tripp Tatum Runs 3.848/252.76, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.745/323.81, Was #6

Salinas starts to drift out of the groove and he starts to haze the tires. He clicks it off, but hold on to the number one spot.

Tatum was on a good looking pass, but the car went silent around half track.
