CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 13th annual DeWalt NHRA Carolina Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Brian Gawlik Runs 5.696/257.63, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.625/258.52, Was #6
Right Lane: Nick Januik Runs 10.317/83.62, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.548/263.72, Was #4

Gawlik with another good clean pass.

Januik with tire shake early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Kris Hool Runs 5.590/263.36, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.607/261.88, Was #5
Right Lane: DJ Cox Jr. Runs 5.513/266.00, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.515/264.91, Was #3

This is a good side-by-side drag race.

Hool is a tick quicker than his pass from yesterday, but will start from the number five spot. Kris Hool's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.520, 660ft-3.716/208.49 mph, 1,000ft-4.733.

Cox Jr. is straight down the groove with another good pass. DJ Cox Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.472, 660ft-3.655/210.57 mph, 1,000ft-4.664.

Right Lane: Sean Bellemeur Runs 11.998/83.84, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.506/264.18, Was #2

McCosh with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

McCosh holds on to the number one spot for the first time in his National event career.

Bellemeur shook and clicked it off.
