MOHNTON, Pa. - Filling in for defending world champ Matt Hagan, Funny Car veteran Tommy Johnson Jr. picked up a memorable win on Sunday, powering to the victory at the 36th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil at Maple Grove Raceway.

Billy Torrence (Top Fuel), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Steve Johnson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won at the 14th of 20 races during the 2021 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season and the first race in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Tommy Johnson Jr., Dodge Charger, 3.926 seconds, 330.23 mph defeated John Force, Chevy Camaro, 3.946 seconds, 328.54 mph.

After sitting out for nearly a year, Tommy Johnson Jr. returned to the winner's circle when he defeated John Force in final round of the Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil with his 3.926-second pass at 330.23 mph. Johnson subbed in for Matt Hagan, who is currently recovering from COVID-19. Per NHRA's replacement policy for medical reasons, all points Johnson gained this weekend will be rewarded to Hagan and his team.

Billy Torrence, 3.720 seconds, 326.08 mph defeated Justin Ashley, 3.784 seconds, 313.22 mph.

Billy Torrence powered his Top Fuel dragster to his second title of the season when he went 3.720 seconds at 326.08 mph to take down Justin Ashley at the Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil.

Greg Anderson, Chevy Camaro, 6.578 seconds, 208.30 mph defeated Erica Enders, Camaro, 6.604 seconds, 206.73 mph.

Pro Stock points leader Greg Anderson added another title to his impressive career on Sunday at Maple Grove Raceway when he defeated Erica Enders in the final round with his 6.578-second lap at 208.30mph. With his win, Anderson now ties NHRA legend Warren Johnson for most Pro Stock wins at 97.

Steve Johnson, Suzuki, 6.775 seconds, 196.87 mph defeated Eddie Krawiec, Buell, 6.870 seconds, 197.16 mph.

Pro Stock Motorcycle's Steve Johnson rode his Suzuki to a winner over Eddie Krawiec when he went 6.775 seconds at 196.87 mph to claim the win at Maple Grove Raceway.
