MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Ron Tornow Runs 7.120/189.26, Now #2
Right Lane: Chris Bostick Runs 6.942/191.57, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 29.98 inches, adjusted altitude 1,941 feet.

Tornow with a clean pass.

Bostick is stright down the groove.

Left Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 0.000/0.00, Now #4
Right Lane: David Barron Runs 7.379/150.72, Now #3

Ingwersen with problems right at the hit and came to a stop right off the starting line.

Baron clicks it off early.

Left Lane: Kelly Clontz Runs 7.476/160.84, Now #5
Right Lane: Jianna Salinas Runs 7.005/191.43, Now #2

Clontz clinked it off early.

Salinas with a good pass to go to the number two spot. Jianna Salinas' incremental times: 60ft-1.107 sec., 330ft-2.954, 660ft-4.491/159.10 mph, 1,000ft-5.840.

Left Lane: Jim Underdahl Runs 7.004/192.28, Now #3
Right Lane: Cory Reed Runs 6.867/194.24, Now #1

Underdahl with a nice pass to the number three spot.

Reed kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Cory Reed's incremental times: 60ft-1.072 sec., 330ft-2.865, 660ft-4.382/160.84 mph, 1,000ft-5.717.

Left Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 7.099/198.41, Now #5
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 10.454/79.47, Now #9

Hines with a good pass.

Stoffer with problems and clicks it off early.

Left Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.872/199.94, Now #2
Right Lane: Joey Gladstone Runs 6.882/196.02, Now #3

Smith launched hard and was straight down the groove to the number two spot. Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.115 sec., 330ft-2.925, 660ft-4.437/162.18 mph, 1,000ft-5.752.

Gladstone was right there with her to the number three spot.

Left Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.924/194.49, Now #5
Right Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 6.761/198.85, Now #1

Oehler with a good pass to get into the top half of the show.

Sampey after her final round appearance in Indy last week. She launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Angelle Sampey's incremental times: 60ft-1.047 sec., 330ft-2.815, 660ft-4.318/162.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.635.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.763/201.67, Now #2
Right Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 6.829/198.52, Now #3

Krawiec coming off his Indy win last weekend with a great pass. He goes to the number two spot. He makes the first 200 mph pass here for the track record. Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.089 sec., 330ft-2.853, 660ft-4.350/163.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.652.

Pollacheck was right there with him to go to the number three spot. Scotty Pollacheck's incremental times: 60ft-1.081 sec., 330ft-2.879, 660ft-4.385/162.74 mph, 1,000ft-5.702.

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.879/195.90, Now #7
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.766/201.34, Now #3

Johnson gets into the top half of the show after round one.

Smith kept it hooked up to go to the number three spot. Matt Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.071 sec., 330ft-2.845, 660ft-4.342/162.96 mph, 1,000ft-5.652.
