MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Mike Hepp Runs 12.445/64.82, Now #2
Right Lane: Mike Kosky Runs 7.219/114.85, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 69 degrees, relative humidity 67 percent, barometer 29.98 inches, adjusted altitude 1,697 feet.

Hepp with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

Kosky drove into tire shake and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Dan Page No Time, Now #3
Right Lane: Bruce Horner No Time, Now #4

Page with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicks it off.

Page won't get a time because Horner took out the time blocks.

Horner starts to drifts out of the groove and collect the centerline blocks.

Left Lane: Frank Schuster Runs 5.617/257.19, Now #1
Right Lane: Earl Nichols Jr. Runs 16.300/73.16, Now #5

Schuster is straight down the groove.

Nichols with tire shake and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Tom Fox Jr. Runs 5.296/271.41, Now #1
Right Lane: Dan Dietrich Runs 6.935/131.65, Now #4

Fox Jr. launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest and fastest pass of the season to go to the number one spot. Tom Fox Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.925 sec., 330ft-2.371, 660ft-3.495/218.72 mph, 1,000ft-4.468.

Dietrich starts to shake and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Matthew Cummings Runs 5.181/258.32, Now #1
Right Lane: Duane Shields Runs 9.670/119.96, Now #7

Cummings kept it hitting on all eight and hooked up to go to the number one spot. Matthew Cummings' incremental times: 60ft-0.931 sec., 330ft-2.373, 660ft-3.448/232.87 mph, 1,000ft-4.363.

Shields shook right off the starting line and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Robin Samsel Runs 5.216/274.44, Now #2
Right Lane: Karen Stalba Runs 5.228/280.43, Now #3

This was a great side-by-side drag race...

Samsel with a good looking pass, straight down the groove to the number two spot. Robin Samsel's incremental times: 60ft-0.949 sec., 330ft-2.400, 660ft-3.485/230.41 mph, 1,000ft-4.411.

Stalba is right there with him to go to the number three spot. Karen Stalba's incremental times: 60ft-0.923 sec., 330ft-2.390, 660ft-3.501/226.01 mph, 1,000ft-4.434.

Left Lane: Jasmine Salinas Runs 8.670/88.22, Now #10
Right Lane: Jackie Fricke Runs 5.260/275.62, Now #4

Salinas shook and clicked it off.

Fricke launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number four spot. Jackie Fricke's incremental times: 60ft-0.954 sec., 330ft-2.435, 660ft-3.531/229.47 mph, 1,000ft-4.459.
