BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 67th annual Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals:

Westerfield is 1 - 0 against McCosh in prior events.

McCosh with a great light, but Westerfield chases him down by half track and takes the win.

Gawlik with the starting line advantage, but Marshall had the lead by 330 feet and takes the win. Marshall gets close to the wall, he stays with it and runs his quickest pass of the weekend.

This is the first time Cox and Bellemeur have faced each other in eliminations.

Bellemeur with a great light, but Cox chases him down by 1000 feet and takes the win. Sounded like Bellemeur might of popped on the top end.

Cox will give up lane choice to Westerfield in the next round.

Rochon was out of the groove and got real close to the wall, but reeled it in.

Januik with the starting line advantage and lead until on the top end when his engine let go with a huge bang. Gordon chases him down right in the lights for the win. Gordon runs low E.T. of the event for the win.

Januik with his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

Beverett had the chutes out early.
