BAYTOWN, Texas - Notes from final, round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 34th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Madison Payne Runs 5.256/260.06, Now #1
Right Lane: Jasmine Salinas Runs 11.002/79.82, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 100 percent, barometer 30.15 inches, adjusted altitude 2,065 feet, track temperature 91 degrees.

Payne launched hard and kept it hooked up to make her career quickest pass. Madison Payne's incremental times: 60ft-0.949 sec., 330ft-2.414, 660ft-3.510/224.32 mph, 1,000ft-4.434.

Salinas shook right at the hit.

Right Lane: Aaron Cooper Runs 5.565/267.75, Now #2

Brounkowski with tire shake and clicked it off.

Cooper with a clean pass. Aaron Cooper's incremental times: 60ft-0.947 sec., 330ft-2.453, 660ft-3.723/205.79 mph, 1,000ft-4.727.

Right Lane: Matthew Cummings Runs 5.255/270.37, Now #1

This was a great side-by-side drag race.

Samsel kept it hooked up to go to the number three spot. Robin Samsel's incremental times: 60ft-0.958 sec., 330ft-2.441, 660ft-3.544/227.42 mph, 1,000ft-4.480.

Cummings kept it hitting on all eight all the way down the 1320 to go to the number ones spot. Matthew Cummings' incremental times: 60ft-0.961 sec., 330ft-2.435, 660ft-3.524/230.92 mph, 1,000ft-4.447.

Right Lane: James Stevens Runs 5.285/272.61, Now #5

Severance with a great pass, his quickest and fastest pass of the season. Joey Severance's incremental times: 60ft-0.889 sec., 330ft-2.337, 660ft-3.456/221.52 mph, 1,000ft-4.416.

Stevens is straight down the groove to the number five spot. James Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.909 sec., 330ft-2.360, 660ft-3.490/219.44 mph, 1,000ft-4.461.

Left Lane: Shawn Cowie Runs 5.224/275.62, Now #1
Right Lane: Julie Nataas Runs 5.256/277.03, Now #4

Cowie won the regional last weekend in Ennis. Cowie launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Shawn Cowie's incremental times: 60ft-0.920 sec., 330ft-2.352, 660ft-3.458/223.50 mph, 1,000ft-4.410.

Nataas with good looking pass to the number four spot. Julie Nataas' incremental times: 60ft-0.949 sec., 330ft-2.422, 660ft-3.520/228.85 mph, 1,000ft-4.452.

Right Lane: Jackie Fricke Runs 6.020/228.38, Now #10

Meyer won last weekend's Four-Wide event in Charlotte. She is straight down the groove to the number three spot. Rachel Meyer's incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.417, 660ft-3.511/225.11 mph, 1,000ft-4.430.

Fricke with tire shake and it rattled the chute out, so he had it in tow from around 330 feet on.
