CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 11th annual NGK NTK NHRA Four-Wide Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Lane 3: Bill Naves Runs 18.358/48.43, Now #2
Lane 4: Christopher Zgoda Runs 6.304/211.23, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 71 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 30.25 inches, adjusted altitude 1,384 feet.

Naves has severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

Zgoda clicks it off early.

Lane 1: Andy Bohl No Time, Now #5
Lane 2: Ray Drew No Time, Now #8
Lane 3: Chris Foster Runs 8.387/109.64, Now #3
Lane 4: Chip Beverett Runs 5.713/263.67, Now #1

Bohl clicked it off early, he will not get a time because Drew took out the finish line timing blocks.

Drew got loose on the top end and took out the finish line timing blocks.

Foster shook and clicked it off.

Beverett with the quickest pass of the session. Chip Beverett's incremental times: 60ft-0.968 sec., 330ft-2.569, 660ft-3.822/200.68 mph, 1,000ft-4.855.

Pomponio is straight down the groove with a nice pass to go to the number one spot. Dan Pomponio's incremental times: 60ft-0.953 sec., 330ft-2.477, 660ft-3.668/208.68 mph, 1,000ft-4.681.

Bogolo is right there with him to the number two spot. Tony Bogolo's incremental times: 60ft-0.955 sec., 330ft-2.498, 660ft-3.694/208.65 mph, 1,000ft-4.705.

Gawlik with a clean pass to start the weekend. Brian Gawlik's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.580, 660ft-3.819/200.95 mph, 1,000ft-4.869.

Januik with tire shake and clicks it off.

Hool shook and clicked it off.

Bellemeur with a great pass to go to the number one spot. Sean Bellemeur's incremental times: 60ft-0.923 sec., 330ft-2.436, 660ft-3.600/213.74 mph, 1,000ft-4.590.

Gordon with a nice pass to go to the number three spot.. Doug Gordon's incremental times: 60ft-0.943 sec., 330ft-2.485, 660ft-3.666/210.83 mph, 1,000ft-4.662.
