COMMERCE, Ga. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 40th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Southern Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 67 percent, barometer 29.99 inches, adjusted altitude 2,138 feet.

Jones is 1 - 0 against alBalooshi in prior events.

alBalooshi with the starting line advantage, but then starts to drift out of the groove. He can't reel it back in and collects half track block to give Jones the win. This is his first centerline violation and will cost him five points.

Jones with his quickest pass of the weekend for the win.

Latino flickered the tree and left before the tree was activated...he left first and that drew Wolfe to go. Wolfe also left before the tree was activated, but he will get the win. Wolfe will give up lane choice in the next round.
