COMMERCE, Ga. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 40th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Southern Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 75 degrees, relative humidity 30 percent, barometer 30.10 inches, adjusted altitude 1,902 feet, track temperature 119 degrees.

Rochon with the starting line advantage, but then makes a quick move toward the centerline, when he reels it in the car darts across the lane and tags the wall. He will be DQ'ed.

Bogolo is loose right at the hit and clicks it off.

This is the first time McCosh and Pomponio have faced each other in eliminations.

Pomponio with the starting line advantage, but then is out of the groove and collect the half track timing cones. He will be DQ'ed to give McCosh the win.

McCosh is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend for the win.

This is the first time Cox Jr. and Headley have faced each other in eliminations.

Headley with problems getting the car to start, he gets it started. He does an abbreviated burnout and then the car dies to give Cox Jr. the single.

Cox Jr is straight down the groove...he will give up lane choice to McCosh in the semifinal.
