COMMERCE, Ga. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 40th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Southern Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 15.349/54.52, Now #1
Right Lane: John Callahan No Time, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 33 percent, barometer 30.14 inches, adjusted altitude 1,730 feet.

Nobile is the last Pro Stock driver to win a wally here, and he is making his first pass since the final race in 2018. He is driving an Elite car the one that Bruno Massel drives. He has severe tire shake right at the hit and clicks it off.

Callahan with problems on the burnout, tries a second time and still has problems before he shuts it off.

Prusiensky with problems on the burnout, but then gets the car to fire again. He has tire shake early and clicks it off.

This was a good side-by-side drag race.

Smeland kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Val Smeland's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.766, 660ft-4.247/166.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.522.

Delco was right there with him to go to the number two spot. Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-1.001 sec., 330ft-2.776, 660ft-4.257/167.36 mph, 1,000ft-5.529.

Hartford sat there after the light when green, and when it did he was straight down the groove to the number four spot. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.236/165.25 mph, 1,000ft-5.515.

Koretsky with a real nice pass to go to the number two spot. Kyle Koretsky's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.754, 660ft-4.232/167.12 mph, 1,000ft-5.507.

Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Jr. Runs 6.563/209.39, Now #2

This was great side-by-side drag race.

Stanfield is straight down the groove to the number three spot. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.225/167.16 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.

Coughlin ties McGaha's E.T., but will give up the number one spot, based on his slower speed.

This was a great drag race to wrap up round one of Pro Stock qualifying.

Enders is straight down the groove to the number three spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.749, 660ft-4.221/167.36 mph, 1,000ft-5.491. enders runs top speed of the session.

Anderson kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.744, 660ft-4.213/168.26 mph, 1,000ft-5.480.
