The Pacific Division announced that the Summit Racing Equipment ET Finals will take place at Sacramento Raceway in 2021. The event, scheduled for September 30 – October 3, will see racers from all across the southwest return to the historic Northern California facility for the first time since 2010.
Changes for 2021 have competition in Super Pro and Pro ET taking place over an 1/8 mile course for the event, while Sportsman, Motorcycle and High School will compete at the ¼ mile distance. Also new for 2021 will be a return of the Race of Champions, which will take place on Friday evening of the event.
A full complement of racing will get underway with a test and tune on Thursday. The popular Gambler’s race will begin Thursday afternoon with High Roller, Low Roller, and Motorcycle classes. Friday action will see remaining Gambler rounds along with time runs, a Run For The Money Shootout and the aforementioned Race of Champions. Saturday will be reserved for the Team Race with the champion in each category moving on to the Summit Racing Series National Championship, to be held October 29-31 at the Dodge NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Another Gambler race will be held on Sunday of the event.
Pacific Division Director Mike Rice stated “I would like to thank the D7 NHRA Member Track operators for their involvement in not only the Summit ET Series program, but for their efforts in constantly looking at the trends within the division and making this event a must attend for the competitors. Their passion for the program is greatly evident and appreciated by not only me, but the racers in Division 7!”
Further and specific event details will be released as we move close to the October event.
