Pro Modified Qualifying Notes, Final Session

LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Dodge NHRA Finals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 9.786/98.42, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.882/244.25, Was #8

Janis started to shake and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Jim Whiteley Runs 5.836/244.65, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.864/242.41, Was #7

Whiteley is straight down the groove with a good clean pass to move up the ladder a couple spots. Jim Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.959 sec., 330ft-2.557, 660ft-3.827/194.66 mph, 1,000ft-4.916.

Left Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 6.248/171.62, Now #10; Best prior run: 8.272/111.78, Was #10
Right Lane: Justin Jones Runs 5.784/248.98, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.863/245.63, Was #7

Satterfield was trailing smoke across the finish line. He still improves. he will stay in the number 10 spot.

Jones launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number four spot. Justin Jones' incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.556, 660ft-3.810/197.39 mph, 1,000ft-4.879.

Left Lane: Jeff Jones Runs 5.828/244.78, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.882/242.41, Was #9
Right Lane: Chad Green Runs 5.792/248.16, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.841/247.43, Was #7

Jones with a good looking pass to move up the ladder a couple spots. Jeff Jones' incremental times: 60ft-0.964 sec., 330ft-2.559, 660ft-3.820/194.27 mph, 1,000ft-4.909.

Green launched hard and kept it hooked up to move up the ladder one spot. Chad Green's incremental times: 60ft-0.968 sec., 330ft-2.572, 660ft-3.824/197.65 mph, 1,000ft-4.889.

Left Lane: Steve Jackson Runs 7.439/131.42, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.788/249.07, Was #5
Right Lane: Justin Bond Runs 5.772/246.62, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.772/247.34, Was #3

Jackson started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Bond with another great pass matching his earlier E.T. Justin Bond's incremental times: 60ft-0.951 sec., 330ft-2.527, 660ft-3.783/196.24 mph, 1,000ft-4.862.

Left Lane: Khalid alBalooshi Runs 6.648/128.21, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.755/248.34, Was #1
Right Lane: Brandon Snider No Time, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.766/248.71, Was #2

alBalooshi started to shake and clicked it off.

Snider is a no-show.
