Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Final Session

LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Dodge NHRA Finals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Cory Reed Runs 7.318/190.14, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: David Barron Runs 7.061/188.57, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.045/190.00, Was #12

Reed gets a number on the board.

No help here for Barron.

Left Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.918/196.30, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.844/122.79, Was #16
Right Lane: Katie Sullivan Runs 7.071/192.17, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.014/192.36, Was #10

Smith is straight down the groove into the top half of the show. Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.104 sec., 330ft-2.916, 660ft-4.444/160.48 mph, 1,000ft-5.778.

No help here for Sullivan.

Left Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 8.404/112.96, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.141/158.82, Was #15
Right Lane: Chris Bostick Runs 7.229/185.00, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.998/184.85, Was #10

Sampey slows and stays in the number 15 spot.

Bostick slows and he will not improve.

Left Lane: Freddie Camarena Runs 7.082/189.82, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.106/189.04, Was #14
Right Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.947/194.44, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.981/194.69, Was #9

Camarena with his quickest pass, but stays in the number 14 spot.

Arana Jr. with his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show. Hector Arana Jr's incremental times: 60ft-1.075 sec., 330ft-2.907, 660ft-4.450/158.73 mph, 1,000ft-5.796.

Left Lane: Kelly Clontz Runs 7.009/190.78, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.019/190.97, Was #12
Right Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 7.032/193.71, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.955/193.35, Was #9

Clontz makes her quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder one spot. Kelly Clontz's incremental times: 60ft-1.079 sec., 330ft-2.913, 660ft-4.474/156.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.838.

No help here for Oehler.

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.941/192.19, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.947/192.06, Was #8
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.970/194.63, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.946/194.74, Was #6

Johnson with his quickest pass of the day. He bumps Hines back a spot as he didn't improve.

Left Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 6.959/193.60, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.900/196.04, Was #4
Right Lane: Joey Gladstone Runs 6.908/195.34, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.893/195.56, Was #3

Pollacheck with a good clean pass, but will not improve.

Gladstone with another good pass.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.821/198.38, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.861/198.32, Was #2
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 7.513/137.00, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.818/198.12, Was #1

Smith launched hard and kept it hooked up to improve, but will start from the number two spot. Krawiec with problems and clicks it off. He will start from the number one time for second time this season and 48th time in his career,
