BAYTOWN, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 33rd annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals presented by Pennzoil:

Weather conditions: air temperature 70 degrees, relative humidity 76 percent, barometer 29.93 inches, adjusted altitude 1,499 feet, track temperature 78 degrees.
Foley and Millican have each won 2 times against the other in prior events.
Millican with the starting line advantage, but dropped a cylinder early, he stayed with it. Foley chased him down right in the lights for the win in a close one. Doug Foley's MOV: 0.0072 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

Foley with his quickest and fastest pass of the weekend for the win.

This is the first time Callaway and Pruett have faced each other in eliminations.
Pruett with a slight starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. she runs her quickest pass of the weekend for the win.

Callaway dropped a cylinder right at the hit and then was up in smoke before he clicked it off.

Kalitta with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. He runs his quickest and fastest of the weekend for the win.

Kinsley is up in smoke by 330 feet and clicked it off. Apparently he used up an engine on the top end as there is oil on the track. Kebin Kinsley was charged with an oildown, #1 for the season. That will cost 5 points.

Palmer started to mix up cylinders and clicked it off just past half track.

Ferre is 1 - 0 against Schumacher in prior events. Ferre is in the unique group of drivers that got their first round win against Schumacher.
Ferre went red to give Schumacher the win.

Schumacher is straight down the groove with a good clean pass for the win. He runs low E.T. of race day. He will have lane choice over Foley in the next round.

Torrence with the bye...Torrence launched hard and kept it hooked up to make the quickest and fastest pass of race day.

This is the first time Morrison and Torrence have faced each other in eliminations.
Morrison with the starting line advantage, he was dropping cylinders right at the hit. it really started to mix them up just past half track. The word from the top end is there is oil. Joe Morrison was charged with an oildown, #2 for the season. That will cost 10 points.

Torrence is straight down the groove with a good looking pass for the win. He will give up lane choice to Pruett in the next round.

Ashley started to haze the tires right st the hit and pedaled it, but couldn't get it to hook up and clicked it off.
