ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 35th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals:

This is the first time Matt and Angie Smith have qualified Nos.1 & 2.
This is the 41st time Matt Smith has been No. 1 and that's the fifth most in Pro Stock Motorcycle history. He is 33 - 7 in round 1 when starting from the top spot and overall he is 10 -1 against Michael Phillips in round 1.
Smith is 13 - 6 against Phillips in prior events.

Smith can't get his bike to fire and he walks away from the bike. Phillips with problems on the run and clicks it off. He will give up lane choice to Gladstone in the next round.
