MADISON, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, ninth annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals presented by Pennzoil:

Pro Stock Motorcycles were set on points like the cars. This is the first time bikes qualifying have been set on points.

Weather conditions: air temperature 58 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 30.27 inches, track temperature 91 degrees.

Arana Jr is 11 - 3 against Smith in prior events.

Hector Arana Jr. is 11 - 3 against Angie Smith and 11 - 10 against her husband, Matt.

Arana Jr. is a tick too quick on the tree and turned on the red light to give Smith the win.

Oehler breaks right off the starting line to give Bostick the win.

In their last 15 meetings Eddie Krawiec is 14 - 1 against Steve Johnson.

Krawiec with the starting line advantage and has problems, he is making a move toward the center line before he clicked it off.

Johnson is straight down the groove for the win.

Clontz with the starting line advantage and took the win as Angelle came to a stop on the track. The problem with Angelle's bike is the handle bars broke.

She will give up lane choice to Johnson in the next round.

This is the first time Pollacheck and Tornow have faced each other in eliminations.

Tornow with the starting line advantage, but starts to drift out of the groove toward the centerline before he clicks it off.

Pollacheck is straight down the groove with the quickest pass of the weekend.

He will have lane choice over Angie Smith in the next round.
