MORRISON, Colo. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, West Central Division, Trailer Source Thunder on the Mountain presented by NAPA listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Steve Macklyn Runs 5.952/244.69, Now #1

Macklyn with a clean pass.

Left Lane: Bill Bernard Runs 7.485/121.85, Now #3
Right Lane: Doug Schneider Runs 6.179/236.96, Now #2

Bernard lost traction and clicked it off.

Schneider clicked it off early.

Left Lane: Brian Hough Runs 5.795/252.85, Now #1
Right Lane: Kris Hool Runs 5.845/248.43, Now #2

Hough is straight down the groove to the number one spot.

Hool is right there with him to the number two spot.

Left Lane: Doug Gordon Runs 5.734/253.90, Now #2
Right Lane: Annie Whiteley Runs 5.734/258.91, Now #1

This is a good side-by-side drag race.

They run identical E.T.s and Whiteley gets the number one spot based on her faster speed.
