CHANDLER, Ariz. - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 36th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals:

Beckman is 27 - 14 against Johnson Jr. in prior events and Beckman is 4 - 0 against Johnson Jr. in prior final rounds. Beckman was the winner at Pomona earlier this month and already has a 31-33 career win/runner-up record. Johnson has a career 19-33 record, wit a 17-30 Funny Car record.

Beckman gets a starting line advantage, but kicks the tires loose about 100 feet out. He pedals, but the car will not recover.

Johnson powers on down the track for the easy win. His first against Beckman.

Tommy Johnson Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.870 sec., 330ft-2.232, 660ft-3.142/284.15 mph.
