Reigning event winner Matt Hagan continued his domination of Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, capturing the provisional No. 1 qualifier spot on Friday at the 36th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals, in his hunt for back-to-back wins in Phoenix.

Steve Torrence (Top Fuel) and Jeg Coughlin (Pro Stock) also claimed provisional No. 1 qualifier spots in their respective categories at the second of 24 events on the 2020 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series calendar.

Funny Car provisional No. 1 Qualifier Matt Hagan drove his Mopar Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to a 3.859 second pass at 331.61 mph.

Matt Hagan powered his Funny Car to the provisional top spot on Friday at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.

Top Fuel provisional No. 1 qualifier Steve Torrence drove his Capco Contractors dragster to a 3.671 second pass at 326.48 mph.

Reigning back-to-back Top Fuel world champion Steve Torrence seeded himself provisionally No. 1 on Friday to kick off the NHRA Arizona Nationals.

Pro Stock provisional No. 1 qualifier Jeg Coughlin Jr. drove his Jegs.Com/Elite Performance Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.536 second pass at 208.46 mph.

After a perfect weekend at the season opener, Pro Stock driver Jeg Coughlin continued his dominance with a provisional No. 1 qualifier position at Phoenix.
