CHANDLER, Ariz. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel Harley at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 36th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Tracy Kile Runs 7.843/197.28, Now #1
Right Lane: Mike Scott Runs 10.974/78.09, Now #2

1:25 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 28.84 inches, adjusted altitude 3,025 feet, track temperature 92 degrees.

Kile struggled at Pomona and continues to chase the tuneup here. He leaves with the front wheel up, but is done around the 330 lights.

Scott's bike struggles off the line, he is on and off the throttle about 100 feet out and then lifts.

Left Lane: Rich Vreeland Runs 18.257/60.53, Now #3
Right Lane: Tyler Wilson No Time, Now #4

Wilson can't get the engine to fire and the crew pushes the bike away.

Vreeland strikes the slick at the green and motors on down.

Left Lane: Rickey House Runs 6.989/215.79, Now #1
Right Lane: Jay Turner Runs 8.218/150.85, Now #3

Turner smokes the slick at the green, lifts and powers on down the track to get a number on the boards.

House's bike is the first to get to the finish line under power and takes the current top spot.

Rickey House's incremental times: 60ft-1.183 sec., 330ft-3.232, 660ft-4.721/170.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.947.

Left Lane: Tii Tharpe Runs 10.618/86.64, Now #4
Right Lane: Randal Andras Runs 10.853/91.43, Now #5

Andras was strong at Pomona and won the race. He kicks the slick loose at the green and slows.

Tharpe joins him, getting a little further early, before slowing.

1:35 p.m. Ricky House is number one at 6.898. No bump spot yet.
