POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 60th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Tom Huggins Runs 15.681/55.44, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.691/207.40, Was #17
Right Lane: Martin Robertson Runs 6.719/207.50, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.555/133.86, Was #20

Weather conditions: air temperature 71 degrees, relative humidity 42 percent, barometer 28.83 inches, adjusted altitude 2,528 feet, track temperature 101 degrees.

Huggins shakes and makes a quick move toward the centerline right at the hit and clicks it off.

Robertson is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend.

Cuadra with a clean pass, but will not improve and gets bumped back one spot by Prusiensky.

Prusiensky with his quickest pass of the weekend, but doesn't get in the show.

Grose made a quick move toward the wall and clicked it off.

Smeland is straight down the groove, but doesn't improve and stays on the bubble.

Cuadra Jr. with severe tire shake and pushed in the clutch.

this was a good side-by-side drag race.

Butner launched hard and kept it hooked up to match his time from yesterday and make the quickest pass of the session. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.968 sec., 330ft-2.729, 660ft-4.204/167.28 mph, 1,000ft-5.479.

Delco with the second quickest pass of the session, but will not improve. Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.764, 660ft-4.247/166.25 mph, 1,000ft-5.523.

Left Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.573/209.46, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.554/210.01, Was #5

Stanfield with a great pass, he makes the second quickest pass of the session, but will not improve. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.734, 660ft-4.215/166.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.

Enders with a great pass, matching her qualifying time for the second quickest pass of the session. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.737, 660ft-4.211/167.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.482.

Coughlin earlier today announced he was retiring from driving full time after this year. He launched hard and kept it hooked up to make the quickest pass of the round. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.728, 660ft-4.202/166.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.474.
