POMONA, Calif. - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 55th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals:

Hight is 26 - 20 against Beckman in prior events and Hight is 10 - 3 against Beckman in prior final rounds.
These two meet in the finals at this year's WinterNationals. Both drivers have six final round appearances this year. Height has four wins and two runner-ups in his career 60 final round pairings. Beckman has one win and five runner-ups this year and 62 career final rounds. Hight has just one goal this round: "Don't lose any points!" Win or lose, he will be the 2019 Champion as long as he keeps the Camaro in the center of his lane and doesn't cross the centerline.
Well, after a season of strength, it is all over before the green light, as Hight's Camaro quits on the burnout and he jump out of the car and over the guard rail. He doesn't win the race, but he does win the 2019 Funny Car Championship.
Beckman shows style and strength, as he makes the quickest pass of the day to secure the final round win with ease.
