POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 55th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 6.628/209.07, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.638/208.81, Was #14

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 28.81 inches, adjusted altitude 3,259 feet, track temperature 106 degrees.

Tucker is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend. He moves up on the ladder one spot. Shane Tucker's incremental times: 60ft-0.997 sec., 330ft-2.780, 660ft-4.267/165.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.549.

Left Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 14.000/63.09, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.068/197.10, Was #19
Right Lane: Joey Grose Runs 6.696/207.75, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.687/207.72, Was #16

Stevens spun the tires right at the hit and pushed in the clutch.

Grose with a nice pass, but will not improve.

Left Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.653/208.68, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.778/175.27, Was #17
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.808/188.57, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.836/205.63, Was #18

Cuadra with his quickest pass of the weekend to get in the show on the bubble. Cristian Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-1.001 sec., 330ft-2.789, 660ft-4.284/165.15 mph, 1,000ft-5.571.

Cuadra Jr. with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will not get in the show.

Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.741/172.96, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.646/187.73, Was #15

Graham is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number 12 spot. Steve Graham's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.755, 660ft-4.239/166.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.518.

Anderson clicked it off early again, trying to get Enders in round one.

Right Lane: Val Smeland Runs 10.209/90.51, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.631/209.43, Was #14

McGaha kept it hooked up and made his quickest pass of the weekend, but stays in the number 11 spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.770, 660ft-4.248/166.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.522.

Smeland with problems early and pushed in the clutch.

Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.648/208.59, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.585/210.44, Was #9
Right Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.613/209.56, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.565/210.70, Was #5

Hartford was real loose right at the hit, he stayed with it. He will not improve.

Laughlin slows from his pass from yesterday.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.582/209.17, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.569/209.52, Was #7
Right Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.615/209.62, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.590/210.08, Was #10

Kramer with another good pass, but will not improve.

Stanfield also will not improve.

Left Lane: Fernando Cuadra Runs 6.587/210.08, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.565/208.68, Was #6
Right Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.585/209.92, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.576/210.47, Was #8

This was a good side-by-side drag race. Neither driver improves...

Delco with the third quickest pass of the session. Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.749, 660ft-4.231/165.84 mph, 1,000ft-5.509.

Left Lane: Bo Butner Runs 6.567/210.01, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.557/210.83, Was #4
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.557/210.44, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.554/211.03, Was #3

Butner is 113 points behind Enders. He is straight down the groove he makes the second quickest pass of the session. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.738, 660ft-4.219/166.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.

Line is 115 back from Enders...He kept it hooked up to make the quickest pass of the session. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.738, 660ft-4.214/166.91 mph, 1,000ft-5.487.

Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.578/210.28, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.538/210.93, Was #2
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.568/210.57, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.533/210.70, Was #1

Enders with another great pass the fourth quickest of the session. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.232/166.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.506.

Coughlin is 87 points back from Enders after yesterday. He is straight down the groove with the third quickest pass of the session. He stays in the number one spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.744, 660ft-4.221/166.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.496.
