POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 55th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 8.479/113.28, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 69 degrees, relative humidity 59 percent, barometer 28.93 inches, adjusted altitude 2,410 feet, track temperature 96 degrees.

Stevens pushed the clutch back in around half track and coast on through the 1320.

Left Lane: Joey Grose Runs 6.687/207.72, Now #1
Right Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 11.709/76.56, Now #3

Grose made a quick move toward the wall right at the hit, but reeled it in.

Cuadra was real loose right at the hit and pushed in the clutch back in.

Right Lane: Steve Graham Runs 6.644/209.10, Now #1

Stanfield made a quick move toward the centerline and was real loose before he pushed the clutch back in.

Cuadra Jr. with a clean pass to start the weekend.

Anderson clicked it off early, he said he is trying to position himself on the ladder to try and match up early with Enders.
