LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 19th annual Dodge NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Bob Rahaim Runs 9.610/108.25, Now #13; Best prior run: 5.869/234.78, Was #13

Weather conditions: air temperature 64 degrees, relative humidity 14 percent, barometer 28.11 inches, adjusted altitude 2,663 feet, track temperature 81 degrees.

Rahaim with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Steven Whiteley No Time, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.763/249.95, Was #4
Right Lane: Jim Whiteley Runs 10.877/77.23, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.805/244.47, Was #6

Steven Whiteley with problems on the burnout and drives off the top end.

Jim Whiteley with severe tire shake and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Michael Bowman Runs 9.317/102.26, Now #16; Best prior run: 5.948/248.07, Was #16
Right Lane: Michael Biehle Runs 5.786/253.90, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.820/252.80, Was #8

Bowman shook and clicked it off.

Biehle is straight down the groove with a great pass to move up the ladder a couple spots. Michael Biehle's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.606, 660ft-3.846/200.41 mph, 1,000ft-4.898.

Janis with problems after the burnout and is pushed off the starting line.

Oksas launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his career quickest pass to move into the top half of the show. Scott Oksas' incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.605, 660ft-3.846/199.43 mph, 1,000ft-4.904.

Satterfield is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to get in the show. Clint Satterfield's incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.645, 660ft-3.898/198.52 mph, 1,000ft-4.961.

Laughlin with his quickest pass of the weekend to get off the bump and move up to the number 12 spot. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.641, 660ft-3.885/197.45 mph, 1,000ft-4.948.

Latino with another good pass, but will not improve.

Snider with his quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number 10 spot. Brandon Snider's incremental times: 60ft-0.953 sec., 330ft-2.545, 660ft-3.812/195.39 mph, 1,000ft-4.893.

This is a great side-by-side drag race.

alBalooshi with his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show. Khalid alBalooshi's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.597, 660ft-3.839/200.08 mph, 1,000ft-4.894.

Castellana is straight down the groove with the quickest pass of the session to move up the ladder one spot. Mike Castellana's incremental times: 60ft-0.948 sec., 330ft-2.530, 660ft-3.782/197.39 mph, 1,000ft-4.855.

Left Lane: Steve Jackson Runs 5.744/250.69, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.735/250.37, Was #1
Right Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 6.674/129.89, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.751/250.04, Was #2

Jackson launched hard and kept it hooked up to make the quickest pass of the session, he will not improve, but holds on to the number one spot. Steve Jackson's incremental times: 60ft-0.949 sec., 330ft-2.534, 660ft-3.782/197.97 mph, 1,000ft-4.847.
