LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 19th annual Dodge NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Joey Grose Runs 6.730/205.07, Now #16; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 7 percent, barometer 28.03 inches, adjusted altitude 3,369 feet, track temperature 88 degrees.

Grose is straight down the groove to get in the show.

Left Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.766/203.49, Now #18; Best prior run: 14.051/59.80, Was #19
Right Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.702/203.40, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.706/203.68, Was #15

Stevens makes a move in the right direction, but will not get in the show.

Cuadra with his quickest pass of the day, but stays in the number 15 spot.

Left Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.844/202.15, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.203/159.06, Was #19
Right Lane: Val Smeland Runs 6.668/207.08, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.692/207.11, Was #14

Cuadra Jr. makes a full pass, but will not get in the show.

Graham kept it hooked up to get back in the show, up to the number 15 spot. Steve Graham's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.791, 660ft-4.294/163.69 mph, 1,000ft-5.588.

Tucker with a move in the right direction to move up the ladder one spot. Shane Tucker's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.784, 660ft-4.284/163.91 mph, 1,000ft-5.577.

Left Lane: Fernando Cuadra Runs 6.627/208.01, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.630/207.88, Was #12
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.620/206.23, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.627/208.01, Was #11

Cuadra makes a little improvement, but stays in the number 12 spot. Fernando Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.257/164.97 mph, 1,000ft-5.545.

Hartford kept it hooked up to move into the top half of the show. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.757, 660ft-4.249/164.85 mph, 1,000ft-5.535.

Kramer is straight down the groove to move up the ladder two spots. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.967 sec., 330ft-2.745, 660ft-4.233/165.21 mph, 1,000ft-5.518.

Stanfield with a good clean pass to move into the top half of the show. He ties Hartford's E.T. and gets the position based on his faster speed. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.764, 660ft-4.255/165.58 mph, 1,000ft-5.540.

Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.625/208.04, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.603/208.78, Was #5
Right Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.641/207.98, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.622/207.91, Was #11

McGaha with another good pass, but will not improve. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.768, 660ft-4.258/165.17 mph, 1,000ft-5.543.

Delco slows from early today...Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.778, 660ft-4.272/164.91 mph, 1,000ft-5.558.

Right Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.631/207.66, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.621/207.91, Was #10

Coughlin with another good pass, but will not improve. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.758, 660ft-4.250/164.69 mph, 1,000ft-5.538.

No help here for Laughlin and he will stay in the number ten spot. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.257/164.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.547.

Anderson with another good looking pass, but will not improve. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.236/165.31 mph, 1,000ft-5.520.

Butner launched hard and makes the quickest pass of the session to go to the number two spot. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.965 sec., 330ft-2.739, 660ft-4.227/165.19 mph, 1,000ft-5.511.

Left Lane: Erica Enders No Time, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.587/208.46, Was #1
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.616/208.33, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.611/208.33, Was #7

Enders with problems as soon s she let the clutch out and coast on down the track.
