LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 19th annual Dodge NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 14.051/59.80, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 66 degrees, relative humidity 9 percent, barometer 28.08 inches, adjusted altitude 2,826 feet, track temperature 95 degrees.

Stevens with severe tire shake and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.706/203.68, Now #1
Right Lane: Joey Grose No Time, Now #3

Cuadra started to drift out of the groove, he reeled it in...

Grose with problems on the burnout and is shut off and pushed off the starting line.

Left Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.622/206.48, Now #1
Right Lane: Steve Graham Runs 6.756/205.26, Now #3

Stanfield is straight down the groove with a nice pass. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.763, 660ft-4.255/164.93 mph, 1,000ft-5.539.

Graham drove through tire shake...

Left Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 6.676/204.82, Now #2
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 7.203/159.06, Now #5

Tucker is straight down the groove with a good looking pass.

Cuadra Jr. has a new engine in the car and this is just a half pass shut off check out pass.

Left Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.622/207.91, Now #1
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Runs 6.630/207.88, Now #3

Delco is straight down the groove, he kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.253/164.77 mph, 1,000ft-5.539.

Cuadra with a real nice pass to go to the number three spot. Fernando Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.262/165.44 mph, 1,000ft-5.548.

Left Lane: Val Smeland Runs 6.692/207.11, Now #6
Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.603/208.78, Now #1

Smeland made a quick move toward the centerline, but he reeled it in.

McGaha launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.753, 660ft-4.240/165.50 mph, 1,000ft-5.523.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.621/207.91, Now #3
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.598/207.62, Now #1

Laughlin made a quick move toward the centerline and reeled it in. He goes to the number three spot. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.254/164.65 mph, 1,000ft-5.540.

Anderson coming off his win from two weeks ago...he launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.237/165.78 mph, 1,000ft-5.519.

Left Lane: Bo Butner Runs 6.615/207.72, Now #4
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.607/208.46, Now #3

This is a good side-by-side drag race...

Butner has his car done up in Rickey Bobby colors for Halloween. He is straight down the groove to the number four spot. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.249/164.81 mph, 1,000ft-5.535.

Kramer with a real nice pass to go to the number three spot. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.757, 660ft-4.244/165.31 mph, 1,000ft-5.527.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.611/208.33, Now #5
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.602/208.52, Now #2

Line is straight down the groove to the number five spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.247/164.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.531.

Coughlin launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.237/165.17 mph, 1,000ft-5.521.

Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.627/208.01, Now #11
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.587/208.46, Now #1

Hartford with a clean pass to start the weekend.

Enders launched hard and kept it hooked to straight down the groove to the number one spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.231/166.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.510.
