MADISON, Ill. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, eighth annual AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals:

Force gets the holeshot, gets about 400 feet out and strikes the tires. Todd goes right down the groove with a clean, straight pass and pulls away for the win.

Langdon is 3 - 1 against Campbell in prior events.

This was an exciting one. Langdon hits the throttle and goes up in smoke. Campbell starts pulling away, gets about 200 feet out and strikes the tires. Langdon pedals and finally gets the slicks to bite. Campbell doesn't get back on the throttle, Langdon goes around him and pulls away for the win.

Shawn Langdon's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.284), 330 ft(-1.175), 660ft(-0.415). MOV: 1.0412 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Wilkerson is 19 - 12 against Tasca III in prior events.

After watching Langdon go up in smoke Wilkerson decided to swap lanes.

Wilkerson gets out of the gate first but Tasca reels him in before they reach the sixty foot mark. Tasca goes right down the groove with a clean, straight pass and pulls away for the win.

Tasca will have lane choice over Langdon in the next round.

Hight is 35 - 33 against Capps in prior events.

Hight gets out of the gate first but Capps reels him in by the time they reach the 330 foot mark. Capps gets a little further, strikes the tires and has to give up on the run. Hight goes back around him at that point and pulls away for the win.

Robert Hight's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.026), 330 ft(-0.001), 660ft(0.067). MOV: 0.3041 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Todd will have lane choice over Hight in the next round.
