DINWIDDIE, Va. -Defending Top Fuel world champion Steve Torrence secured his second consecutive victory at the Virginia NHRA Nationals and third of the season Sunday evening at Virginia Motorsports Park.

Ron Capps (Funny Car), Bo Butner (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were also winners in their respective categories at the eighth of 24 events during the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

Steve Torrence, 3.881 seconds, 319.82 mph defeated Antron Brown, 3.899 seconds, 309.49 mph.

Top Fuel star, Steve Torrence, picks up his third straight win of the year.

Ron Capps, Dodge Charger, 4.097 seconds, 310.98 mph defeated J.R. Todd, Toyota Camry, Broke.

Ron Capps earns his second consecutive win of the 2019 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

Bo Butner, Chevy Camaro, 6.599 seconds, 209.01 mph defeated Greg Anderson, Camaro, 6.607 seconds, 210.18 mph.

Pro Stock driver Bo Butner powered to his fourth title of the year.

Andrew Hines, Harley-Davidson, 6.845 seconds, 195.68 mph defeated Eddie Krawiec, Harley-Davidson, 6.858 seconds, 196.44 mph.

Andrew Hines picked up win No. 4 of the season after qualifying in the top spot at Virginia Motorsports Park.
