DINWIDDIE, Va. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Second annual Virginia NHRA Nationals:

Brown is 15 - 9 against Force in prior events.

Brown with the starting line advantage...they both start to haze the tires at around the same time. Brown gets it to recover quicker and takes the win.

Millican with the starting line advantage, but Torrence has the lead by 150 feet and drives away for the win.

Millican started dropping cylinders early.

Prock with the starting line advantage, but started to haze the tires and pedaled it, but couldn't get it to hook up to end his day.

Salinas was straight down the groove with a great pass, the quickest of this round for the win. He will have lane choice over Brown in the semifinal.

Torrence is 8 - 0 against Palmer in prior events.

Palmer with a slight starting line advantage, but Torrence had the difference made up by the time they go by the Christmas tree and never trailed from there on for the win. Steve Torrence's MOV: 0.0373 seconds (approximately 17 feet). Torrence with the second quickest pass for the win and lane choice over his father in the semifinal.

Palmer is straight down the groove with the third quickest pass of this round in the losing effort.
