DINWIDDIE, Va. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Second annual Virginia NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 6.944/193.46, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.951/192.60, Was #13
Right Lane: Jianna Salinas Runs 8.724/108.64, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.338/189.84, Was #16

Weather conditions: air temperature 91 degrees, relative humidity 44 percent, barometer 29.70 inches, adjusted altitude 3,168 feet, track temperature 131 degrees.

Pollacheck is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend, but he will stay in the number 13 spot.

Salinas is out of the groove early and clicked it off.

Arana launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show. Hector Arana's incremental times: 60ft-1.073 sec., 330ft-2.875, 660ft-4.398/160.54 mph, 1,000ft-5.732.

Clontz will not improve...

Right Lane: Cory Reed Runs 7.029/191.10, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.962/193.99, Was #14

No help here for either rider.

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.904/192.52, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.898/193.82, Was #10
Right Lane: Joey Gladstone Runs 10.266/82.13, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.899/194.02, Was #11

Johnson with a good pass, just off his qualifying time. Steve Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.055 sec., 330ft-2.860, 660ft-4.398/158.89 mph, 1,000ft-5.746.

Gladstone with problems early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 6.912/194.10, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.879/195.65, Was #7
Right Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 10.224/83.85, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.893/196.22, Was #9

Stoffer will not improve, but has the fourth quickest of this session. Karen Stoffer's incremental times: 60ft-1.077 sec., 330ft-2.886, 660ft-4.420/159.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.761.

Oehler with problems and clicks it off.

This was a good side-by-side drag race, neither rider improves.

Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.822/196.62, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.812/196.42, Was #1

Krawiec with the third quickest pass of the session...Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.070 sec., 330ft-2.854, 660ft-4.368/161.73 mph, 1,000ft-5.692.

Hines is straight down the groove with the quickest pass of the session. Andrew Hines' incremental times: 60ft-1.054 sec., 330ft-2.840, 660ft-4.358/161.11 mph, 1,000ft-5.685.

He qualifies number one for the second time this season and the 44th time in his career.
