DINWIDDIE, Va. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Second annual Virginia NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Jianna Salinas Runs 7.338/189.84, Now #16; Best prior run: 11.085/73.14, Was #16
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 6.984/192.74, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.879/195.65, Was #6

Weather conditions: air temperature 90 degrees, relative humidity 43 percent, barometer 29.75 inches, adjusted altitude 3,023 feet, track temperature 130 degrees.

Salinas with her quickest pass of the weekend.

Johnson is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show.

Smith is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show. Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.087 sec., 330ft-2.891, 660ft-4.417/160.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.750.

Arana with his quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder one spot. Hector Arana's incremental times: 60ft-1.076 sec., 330ft-2.898, 660ft-4.428/159.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.771.

Pollacheck moves up the ladder one spot with his quickest pass of the weekend. Scotty Pollacheck's incremental times: 60ft-1.092 sec., 330ft-2.917, 660ft-4.450/159.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.793.

No help here for Arana Jr., he holds on to the number five spot.

Sampey kept it hooked up to make her quickest pass of the weekend. She will stay in the number three spot. Angelle Sampey's incremental times: 60ft-1.055 sec., 330ft-2.847, 660ft-4.372/160.37 mph, 1,000ft-5.708.

Left Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.897/197.97, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.893/196.22, Was #8
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.822/197.51, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.850/195.56, Was #2

Oehler will not improve, but runs top speed of the event. Ryan Oehler's incremental times: 60ft-1.102 sec., 330ft-2.917, 660ft-4.442/160.79 mph, 1,000ft-5.767.

Krawiec launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.072 sec., 330ft-2.852, 660ft-4.366/161.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.689.

Left Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.812/196.42, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.874/195.42, Was #4
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.874/196.96, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.844/197.91, Was #2

Hines with a great pass on his new bike to go to the number one spot. Andrew Hines' incremental times: 60ft-1.045 sec., 330ft-2.824, 660ft-4.345/160.79 mph, 1,000ft-5.674.

Smith started to make a move toward the centerline, but stayed with it and will not improve.
