DINWIDDIE, Va. - Nationals The 16-time Funny Car world champion John Force paced the Funny Car category Friday evening to the provisional qualifying lead at the second annual Virginia NHRA Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park.

Clay Millican (Top Fuel), Jason Line (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also provisional qualifying leaders in their respective categories at the eighth of 24 events during the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

Funny Car No. 1 qualifier John Force drove his Peak Coolant And Motor Oil / Heculiner Chevy Camaro SS Funny Car to a 3.899 second pass at 321.88 mph.

John Force powered his Funny Car to the top on Friday when he reset the elapsed time track record at Virginia Motorsports Park.

Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier Clay Millican Parts Plus dragsters to a 3.749 second pass at 325.30 mph.

Top Fuel driver Clay Millican raced to the provisional No. 1 qualifier position at Virginia Motorsports Park when he reset the elapsed time track record.

Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier Jason Line drove his Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock 6.563 Sec., 210.11 Mph

Pro Stock veteran Jason Line is the current No. 1 qualifier at the Virginia NHRA Nationals.

Pro Stock Motorcycle No. 1 qualifier Matt Smith rode his Elite Performance/Denso Auto Parts/Stockseth EBR to a 6.844 second pass at 197.91 mph.

Reigning Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Matt Smith is the current No. 1 qualifier at Virginia Motorsports Park.
