DINWIDDIE, Va. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Second annual Virginia NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.986/188.91, Now #13; Best prior run: 26.677/22.35, Was #16
Right Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 6.988/189.87, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.017/190.70, Was #13

Weather conditions: air temperature 90 degrees, relative humidity 42 percent, barometer 29.56 inches, adjusted altitude 3,200 feet, track temperature 123 degrees.

Smith is straight down the groove to move off the bump spot. Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.101 sec., 330ft-2.934, 660ft-4.472/159.34 mph, 1,000ft-5.823.

Pollacheck improves, but is bumped back a spot by Smith. Scotty Pollacheck's incremental times: 60ft-1.077 sec., 330ft-2.902, 660ft-4.451/157.37 mph, 1,000ft-5.814.

Left Lane: Jianna Salinas Runs 11.085/73.14, Now #16; Best prior run: 11.646/67.56, Was #16
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.715/165.99, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.985/191.24, Was #12

Salinas' bike makes a quick move to the right again and she clicks it off.

Johnson was off the throttle early.

Left Lane: Kelly Clontz Runs 7.042/189.52, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.020/191.62, Was #15
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.060/191.97, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.981/193.38, Was #11

No help here for Clontz.

Arana slows from his pass earlier today and will stay in the number 11 spot.

Left Lane: Cory Reed Runs 7.136/188.78, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.969/192.44, Was #9
Right Lane: John Hall Runs 7.484/134.26, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.978/192.91, Was #10

Reed slows and will stay in the number nine spot.

Hall with problems early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Joey Gladstone Runs 6.973/192.69, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.967/192.77, Was #8
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.850/195.56, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.916/195.82, Was #7

Gladstone with another good pass, but will not improve.

Krawiec launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.073 sec., 330ft-2.859, 660ft-4.377/160.92 mph, 1,000ft-5.707.

Left Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.893/196.22, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.904/196.04, Was #7
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 14.518/50.84, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.879/195.65, Was #5

Oehler is straight down the groove with his quickest pass to move up the ladder one spot. Ryan Oehler's incremental times: 60ft-1.093 sec., 330ft-2.895, 660ft-4.422/160.73 mph, 1,000ft-5.752.

Stoffer made a quick move toward the centerline and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.874/195.42, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.902/195.65, Was #7
Right Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 6.891/195.08, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.873/193.02, Was #3

This was a good looking drag race with the teammates.

Hines improves to move up the ladder three spots. Andrew Hines' incremental times: 60ft-1.075 sec., 330ft-2.868, 660ft-4.391/160.67 mph, 1,000ft-5.728.

Sampey with another good pass, but will not improve. Angelle Sampey's incremental times: 60ft-1.058 sec., 330ft-2.868, 660ft-4.400/159.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.742.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.950/192.93, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.878/192.77, Was #5
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.844/197.91, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.851/197.91, Was #2

Arana Jr. with another good pass, but will not improve. Hector Arana Jr's incremental times: 60ft-1.079 sec., 330ft-2.907, 660ft-4.443/159.42 mph, 1,000ft-5.791.

Smith launched hard and was straight down the groove to go back to the number one spot. Matt Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.061 sec., 330ft-2.866, 660ft-4.387/160.94 mph, 1,000ft-5.712.
