DINWIDDIE, Va. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Second annual Virginia NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.930/198.26, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 45 percent, barometer 29.58 inches, adjusted altitude 2,962 feet, track temperature 124 degrees.

Cuadra Jr. is making his NHRA debut in an old Greg Anderson car, they have bought from the Ken Black team. He is running a Gray Motorsports power plant. He is straight down the groove with a clean pass to start his Pro Stock career.

Left Lane: Wally Stroupe Runs 25.998/27.97, Now #3
Right Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 6.715/206.16, Now #1

Stroupe with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicks it off.

Tucker is straight down the groove with a clean pass.

Left Lane: Val Smeland Runs 14.907/56.66, Now #3
Right Lane: Alan Prusiensky Runs 21.965/35.07, Now #4

Smeland with severe tire shake and clicked it off...

Prusiensky also with severe tire shake and clicked it off and coast on down the track.

Left Lane: Fernando Cuadra Runs 6.614/209.65, Now #1
Right Lane: Kenny Delco No Time, Now #7

Cuadra launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Fernando Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.775, 660ft-4.259/166.42 mph, 1,000ft-5.538.

Delco with a new look...at the end of the burn out the chutes fall out, so he is pushed back to the starting line and will not get a run.

Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.610/208.30, Now #1
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 20.296/38.99, Now #6

McGaha with a good clean pass to the number one spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.774, 660ft-4.246/173.05 mph, 1,000ft-5.539.

Kramer with severe tire shake right at the hit and he clicks it off.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.593/209.30, Now #1
Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.613/209.26, Now #3

This was a good side-by-side drag race.

Anderson launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.759, 660ft-4.240/166.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.518.

Brogdon was right there with him to go to the number three spot. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.766, 660ft-4.254/165.38 mph, 1,000ft-5.535.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.596/208.26, Now #3
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.595/209.30, Now #2

The teammates with a good looking side-by-side drag race.

Coughlin is straight down the groove to the number three spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.238/166.50 mph, 1,000ft-5.517.

Enders is a tick ahead of Coughlin and couple back from Anderson to the number two spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.757, 660ft-4.240/165.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.519.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.576/210.11, Now #1
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 19.097/66.82, Now #11

Line launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.749, 660ft-4.228/166.58 mph, 1,000ft-5.503.

Hartford with problems right at the hit and coast on down the track.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.619/208.71, Now #9
Right Lane: Bo Butner Runs 6.580/209.98, Now #2

Laughlin with a clean pass to go to the number nine spot.

Butner kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.755, 660ft-4.237/166.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.508.
