After a little over an hour delay for rain we are ready... Campbell with a big fireball right at the hit and he coast on down the track. The word is there is oil on the track. Jim Campbell was charged with an oildown, #1 for the season. That will cost 5 points. Left Lane: John Force Runs 3.958/322.04, Now #1; No Prior Run Right Lane: Jeff Diehl Runs 7.802/85.02, Now #14; No Prior Run Force launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot with a great pass. John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.881 sec., 330ft-2.266, 660ft-3.201/274.94 mph. Diehl shook right at the hit and clicked it off. Right Lane: Terry Haddock Runs 6.258/138.46, Now #13; No Prior Run Cruz Pedregon was to run with Haddock, but decided to not run tonight. Haddock rattled the tires right at the hit and lifted let the car settle down and then got back on the throttle. Left Lane: Robert Hight Runs 4.816/162.90, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.535/99.63, Was #14 Right Lane: J.R. Todd Runs 3.944/323.50, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.648/123.04, Was #10 Hight launched hard and then started to smoke the tires around 250 feet and clicked it off. Todd had the header flames shooting high over the roof line and the big Goodyears hooked up to go to the number one spot. J.R. Todd's incremental times: 60ft-0.876 sec., 330ft-2.259, 660ft-3.190/277.43 mph. Right Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 4.129/263.98, Now #7; Best prior run: 4.483/196.53, Was #9 Paul Lee was scheduled to run with Hagan, but he pulled out line. Hagan was on a great looking pass until it pulled the tire loose around 800 feet and he lifted. Left Lane: Ron Capps Runs 8.845/77.45, Now #12; Best prior run: 5.730/120.31, Was #12 Right Lane: Dave Richards Runs 7.978/91.40, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.442/211.46, Was #9 Capps shook right at the hit and clicked it off. Richards also shook and shut it off. Johnson Jr. shook as soon as he hit the throttle and he clicked it off.
