COMMERCE, Ga. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Arby's NHRA Southern Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Audrey Worm Runs 4.005/297.61, Now #1
Right Lane: Shawn Reed Runs 4.036/237.59, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 52 percent, barometer 29.18 inches, adjusted altitude 3,334 feet, track temperature 119 degrees.

worm was straight down the groove with her quickest pass of the season and her career fastest pass to start the weekend. Audrey Worm's incremental times: 60ft-0.889 sec., 330ft-2.265, 660ft-3.202/271.41 mph.

Reed started to haze the tires on the top end and clicked it off. Shawn Reed's incremental times: 60ft-0.861 sec., 330ft-2.200, 660ft-3.128/273.55 mph.

Left Lane: Pat Dakin Runs 4.521/175.48, Now #4
Right Lane: Dom Lagana Runs 4.042/253.04, Now #3

Dakin started dropping cylinders around half track and clicked it off.

Lagana was on a good pass until it pitched the blower belt.

Left Lane: Jordan Vandergriff Runs 3.788/316.97, Now #1
Right Lane: Cameron Ferre Runs 4.310/218.87, Now #5

Vandergriff launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Jordan Vandergriff's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.138, 660ft-3.038/283.37 mph.

Left Lane: Scott Palmer Runs 4.766/159.53, Now #7
Right Lane: Austin Prock Runs 5.896/108.49, Now #8

Palmer started to smoke the tire just before half track and clicked it off.

Prock was up in smoke by 330 feet.

Right Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 6.681/101.84, Now #10

Crampton is up in smoke early and clicked it off.

McMillen was up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.832/306.74, Now #2
Right Lane: Leah Pritchett Runs 4.044/244.96, Now #6

Brown launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot with a good clean pass. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.843 sec., 330ft-2.142, 660ft-3.049/277.72 mph.

Pritchett started to haze the tires on the top end and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.857/281.13, Now #3
Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.889/307.02, Now #4

Force drops a cylinder early, but she stays with it to go to the number three spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.137, 660ft-3.059/274.05 mph.

Millican also dropped a cylinder early, but was right there with her to go to the number four spot. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.867 sec., 330ft-2.174, 660ft-3.108/271.46 mph.

Left Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.839/318.54, Now #3
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 4.122/220.80, Now #10

Kalitta kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number three spot. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.863 sec., 330ft-2.190, 660ft-3.087/283.43 mph.

Torrence was on a good pass until it overpowered the track and he clicked it off.
