COMMERCE, Ga. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Arby's NHRA Southern Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Andie Rawlings Runs 7.326/180.89, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 52 percent, barometer 29.18 inches, adjusted altitude 3,334 feet, track temperature 120 degrees.

Rawlings with her fastest pass this season.

Left Lane: Melissa Surber Runs 7.026/191.48, Now #1
Right Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 7.126/190.75, Now #2

Surber with a clean pass to start the weekend.

Pollacheck with a clean pass.

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.894/193.52, Now #1
Right Lane: Kelly Clontz Runs 17.222/34.19, Now #5

Johnson is straight down the groove to the number one spot. Steve Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.069 sec., 330ft-2.872, 660ft-4.401/160.02 mph, 1,000ft-5.741.

A good side-by-side race as these two go to the number two and three spots.

Smith with problems early and sits up on the bike.

Gladstone slowed on the top end.

Right Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 7.022/194.52, Now #7

Smith with problems early and clicked it off.

Arana Jr. gets into the top half of the show.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.876/196.10, Now #2
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.875/196.27, Now #1

This is a great side-by-side drag race.

Krawiec goes to the number two spot with a great pass. Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.076 sec., 330ft-2.879, 660ft-4.405/160.65 mph, 1,000ft-5.735.

Hines launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Andrew Hines' incremental times: 60ft-1.067 sec., 330ft-2.869, 660ft-4.398/160.42 mph, 1,000ft-5.733.
